As a mother of two young children – both graduates of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – Lauren has a very warm and balanced approach to the families she welcomes into her care. Lauren has a depth of experience that extends beyond 20 years, initially as a Paediatric and then Neonatal Critical Care Nurse, before changing paths and completing her medical degree in 2002.

Lynnelle Watson – Practice Manager and Practice Nurse.
Lynnelle is a very well loved and respected Registered Nurse that has worked as both a Paediatric and Child Health Nurse in Brisbane for more than 20 years. Lynnelle has achieved additional tertiary qualifications in both Paediatric and Child Health Nursing.
Lynnelle spent many years at the Royal Children’s Hospital as a senior nurse and clinical facilitator, with a special interest in Surgical Nursing and Liver Transplantation, before training in Child Health and working at Ellen Barron Family Centre and Community Child Health Clinics before the birth of her first son in 2009. More recently Lynnelle has been caring for children and their families at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital.
In 2017 Lynnelle took over as Practice Manager and Practice Nurse for Elementary Paediatrics. This brings a very attractive feature to our practice to know that, as a parent and a senior paediatric nurse, the person at the end of your phone call has a sound understanding of the issues you may be facing with your child. She can offer guidance and support for many of those questions that parents have, while discussing each case with Dr Lauren promptly so we can arrange appropriate medical management.
Like Dr Lauren, Lynnelle gets the balance of parenthood. While running this busy practice she also juggles parenting two busy boys who have recently started primary school. Lynnelle works Monday to Friday with flexible working hours around attending to important family commitments. If Lynnelle is not able to answer your call immediately she will return your message promptly.
